I became a hairstylist later in life and it’s the best decision I ever made.

I’m an 80’s baby who walked around with a homeless look for most of my childhood.  When I started middle school, I realized that looking "put together" actually required effort and that started with my hair.  As I started learning how to braid and create looks on my own head, my friends would ask me to do their hair for prom.  As I got older, I started doing hair for weddings as a side gig but still never pursued it as a career because I was sure that if I did it as a job, I would hate it, but I was wrong!

I am an absolute geek when it comes to hair.  I love learning the chemistry behind color and dissecting all the ingredients in our hair products. It’s always exciting to learn how to do techniques from different people within the industry, whether they’ve been doing hair for 30 years or fresh out of cosmetology school.  I truly believe you can learn from everyone in this industry and that’s what keeps my job exciting.
